“I always look forward to classes with Dan because of his professional and thoughtful teaching style. I took up the trumpet a few years ago, and to get me off the mark my wife bought me two lessons with Dan. That meeting proved to be the start of a wonderful learning experience, which has helped me make significant progress towards my personal brass goals. I have always found Dan to be a champion for the joy of both playing and teaching music. He takes every opportunity to encourage a practical and theoretical understanding of your instrument and the music. He is particularly keen on ensuring the basics are established early and refreshed with regular practice. I find it encouraging to see Dan follow his own advice of ‘practice makes perfect’!” – Karl Kuma
“Dan’s teaching is excellent and is tailored to my goals. In my first 2 years with Dan I passed grade 1 and 2 and was at a sufficient level to join a local training brass band. Dan is very professional in the way he carries out his lessons and business administration. He is flexible with lesson times. He’s also a really nice friendly bloke!” – Helen Orme
